How does a roofing estimate get built in Hail Pro?
- Measure the roof. Run a roof measurement on the property: area, pitch and roof lines from aerial data.
- Pick an install type. Each install type (for example architectural shingle or metal) carries your price per square, tear-off rate and its own line items.
- Review the lines. Line items are flat amounts, per-unit prices or formulas over the measurement, such as ridge cap priced on hips plus ridges, or drip edge on eaves plus rakes. A line that needs a measurement the roof does not have is left off with the reason shown.
- Send it. Download the PDF or copy its share link and send it from your own mail client or the phone share sheet.
Can I change what the estimate PDF looks like?
Yes. Admins edit each install type's PDF on the web, with a live preview: banner, details, the priced table, notes and terms. A different scope of work is a different install type, so every rep sends the same estimate for the same job.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a separate roof report to write the estimate?
No. The estimate is priced from the roof measurement Hail Pro takes itself, so there is no report to order or retype. Aerial measurements are for pricing and prioritizing; confirm on site before ordering materials.
Can reps send estimates from the field?
Yes. Estimates are created from the property on web and mobile, and the PDF goes out through the rep's own email or text from the phone.
